Wallwork stabbed in Manchester

01 December 2006

According to reports from the BBC, Albion midfielder Ronnie Wallwork, currently on loan to Barnsley, is recovering in hospital after being stabbed several times in the stomach and back in a Manchester bar last night. Police are said to be thinking that this is not a random attack, and sources say that he was with a group of friends in the Sugar Lounge at the time. His condition is said to be "ok".

Barnsley FC have set up a page on their official site where fans can leave "Get Well" messages for Ronnie. As there doesn't seem to be anything on the official Albion site, BOING readers may care to visit the Barnsley one instead.
