Board hope to avoid EGM

30 May 2002

Albion's Directors have said that they will use their "best endeavours" to avoid the EGM triggered by Jeremy Peace. Following today's Board meeting, a further meeting will take place in ten days time, just before the deadline for announcing the EGM date, to try and conclude a compromise deal. In the meantime, they will be conducting any further discussions in private rather than through the media.

In a statement on the official website, the Board also reported that "preparations for the Club's first season in the Premier League are well in hand".
