Nathan the Hornet

29 August 2007

Striker Nathan Ellington has joined Championship rivals Watford for an undisclosed fee, according to Sky Sports News. His departure had been widely expected for some time, and his appearances under Mowbray have been fairly infrequent, although he started the League Cup game against Peterborough and scored Albion's second goal.

The fee is reckoned to be somewhere around ?3 million, which could be used to increase Albion's spending power on bringing in one or two more players before the transfer window closes at midnight on Friday.
