Luck of the Irish!

26 April 2007

Well, not luck at all really - just common sense. Paul McShane's red card, picked up at Burnley on Monday night, has been rescinded following Albion's appeal. Even Clarets boss Steve Cotterill agreed that it should not have been given and wrote in support of Albion's appeal. McShane will now be available to play at Coventry on Saturday in what is looking like a must-win game if we're to stay in a playoff position. What doesn't change, of course, is the influence that red card had on the game - which Albion lost 3-2 after going two goals ahead in the first 8 minutes.

In celebration of the appeal - well, in fact, in celebration of both McShane and Kiely's performances this season - and in keeping with the tradition for our last away game of the season, supporters will dress up in an Irish theme. More details are available on the Official Web Site.
