Watson joins Owls on loan

09 February 2007

Out of favour Albion utility player Steve Watson has joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the rest of the season. Watson's appearances under Tony Mowbray have been extremely limited and it seems likely that he no longer figures in his plans for the future. Watson originally signed a three year contract, and although he had the option of leaving when Albion were relegated from the Premiership last summer, he committed his future to Albion under Bryan Robson by signing a new two year contract.

Albion may recall him from the loan spell after 28 days, and he will not be allowed to play against us in our League fixture on April 14th.
