Summary:

Albion slumped to their biggest defeat of the season at Carrow Road to deflate the fancy dress party in the away end. Steven Reid replaced Billy Jones at right back while Goran Popov did the same to Liam Ridgwell on the left and Albion switched to a more attacking 4-3-3 formation with Markus Rosenberg, Shane Long and Romelu Lukaku up front.

The changes didn't work, though. Norwich, needing the points to help their battle against relegation, took the lead after 25 minutes when Ben Foster saved a shot from Wes Hoolahan but couldn't do anything about the followup from Robert Snodgrass.

Albion swapped Jones back for Reid at half time and brought on Chris Brunt for Rosenberg, but a quarter of an hour into the second half Norwich doubled their lead through Grant Holt and it became three-nil just three minutes later when Gareth McAuley headed into his own net. Johnny Howson wrapped up the mauling in the last minute.

Albion remain eighth as Swansea lost at Old Trafford; a win for the Swans next week will force Albion into ninth unless they beat United at home.
