Brendan Clegg:

Don’t know about anyone else but I’m in a state of total despair. We’re unbearable to watch. Absolutely desperate in a division of really poor quality. I cannot understand how the manager survives.

Another 3-4-3 despite us having one centre back and it didn’t change all game. It’s moronic. How is he operating at this level of football? It’s painful and heartbreaking to see fail so badly.

We were average first half, never in control. Might’ve scored or conceded but QPR showed us too much respect.

2nd half they worked us out and absolutely battered us. Tactically we had no answer. Phillips was one of our better players but made way for Dike. Grady didn’t even get on. We didn’t look like scoring and then got suckered at the end.

In a game of awful quality, Willock offered the only entertainment even though he wasn’t good enough to grace our bench 2 years ago. Sam Field looked as good as anything we have and made great decisions.

Despite our injuries and suspensions I think we’d have won this if we’d gone 4-2-3-1 at half time but then again I think we’d be top two with a good, not brilliant, manager.

I maintain this is the worst championship I’ve ever seen. Apart from Pereira is this a worse squad than the Bilic promotion one? Not really. It’s just being managed by a total charlatan and the best we can hope for is his swift removal even if that means losing more games. How horrible.

  • Button - 6 Did okay.
  • Furlong - 6 Average showing but mostly defended well
  • Clarke - 7 Led the defence well. No errors
  • Townsend - 6 Wasted here but did his best. Looked a pen to me.
  • TGH - 5 Physically struggled but kept going. Got bullied for the winner.
  • Livermore - 7 Nobody will like this but our best player and tried to keep the ball more than anyone.
  • Molumby - 4 I quite like him but poor game.
  • Reach - 3 An honest kid but one of the all-time poor performances. Terrible crosses, soft tackles.
  • Robinson - 4 Too many poor touches and positions wasted. Don’t know how he stayed on.
  • Phillips - 6 Strong and physical
  • Grant - 5 Full of runnning. Tried to set up chances but the quality was poor.
  • Dike - 6 Great start but needed more from others. Supply was terrible due to our hit and hope tactics.

There’s a massive risk we won’t even make the play offs with this guy in charge. There is nothing in our form or performances that suggest it will get any better. It’s that bad that I’d happily sell SJ for whatever we can get in order to fund Ismael’s payoff. Farke would be a good appointment but frankly anyone would be better. Anyone.

Northants Baggie:

I have no wish to be party to anyone losing their jobs, but it simply cannot go on like this. Fulham are this years class act and are scoring goals for fun. We are not scoring at all. We are slipping down the table in freefall. This is relegation form. I personally have no desire to go up to the Premier. It is a poisoned chalice with teams going up just to be humiliated. Look at Norwich. They were last years outstanding side in the Championship, but now they are out of their depth. I feel sorry for them. The Premier is for the big teams.

But as for us, I don't mind staying comfortably in the top half, but it is the awful quality of the football that I find so hard to take. We have never been a kick and rush side. We have always been known and admired for the way we play the beautiful game. But this guy is utter rubbish.

He is what one gets when one buys down to a price. And we always buy down to a price. Look at the succession of very poor managers we have had in the past twenty years. Better still don't look ... it is depressing. The loyal and long suffering fans deserve better.

But with the ownership we have and the board of directors we have, the outlook is bleak.
